Hiking In Denali and Whitewater Rafting

We arrived in Denali National Park around 9:30 a.m. We drove through the park a little bit until we arrived at a small 2 mile hike around a river. It was nice and not difficult. Thee were some great views from certain spots on the hike.

This hike took us about an hour because we stopped and took some photos and climbed rocks.

After that we went to the visitor center and ate lunch before we started our next hike.

The next hike we took was to an overlook that looked out over a mountain range. This hike was more difficult because to get to the over, it’s ALL uphill. It was really fun though and worth it.

Other hike back though was even more fun because it was all down hill so we just run down the path and wouldn’t be able to stop.

By the time we were done it was about 2 p.m. We headed back to the place we were staying at an relaxed for a bit. We ate lasagna for dinner with our grandparent. Then got ready to go white water rafting.

We went on the more difficult white water rafting trip because the rapids were bigger and more fun. We were in the same raft as a another dad and son who were fun to talk with. We all chose to paddle which made it even more exciting. We hit some good rapids and bumps with splashed the whole boat with water. Then there were some spots that bad could get out and swim in the freezing cold water and did.

Overall it was a very good time and a very good day. I would definitely recommend the park and the white water rafting.
