Hearst Castle- Our Future Home

Hearst Castle was such a gorgeous and astonishing property. It was gigantic and had many different, authentic things on and inside of it.

We started off that day leaving Paso Robles and headed to L.A. but we couldn’t leave without visiting this amazing castle we heard so much about. When we got there, we checked in and then we got put on a bus and traveled along the 5-mile driveway. Such beautiful views from the winding road. The second we arrived, Julia and I knew that in the future this would be our home, well… our vacation home. The outside was absolutely stunning. Our tour included 2 pools, and the main/entertainment rooms. We started with visiting the outdoor pool. It was huge! It had many cool statues. This was the second sign that we HAD to buy this house. I mean look at it!

We then approached what I thought was the front of the castle.. but no, it was just a cottage. A cottage bigger than my actual house. There was a baby cottage, a mama cottage, and a papa cottage. We didn’t get to go inside of them but from the outside, they were amazing. After that, our tour guide led us around to the actual castle. When I say it was big, I mean it was enormous. That’s all you could see from that angle but I’m telling you it was bigger in person.

Once we finished staring at the castle sitting upon us, she led us into the “entertainment room.” This room was very big too. But it is a castle, so what can I say? The entertainment room was filled with large tapestries because Mr. Hearst loved tapestries and ceilings. This room had many couches and tables. They would play cards and board games while they drank cocktails.

After explaining more about Mr. Hearst and what he this room was used for, we were led into the dining room. The dining room had a long table, with many chairs of course, and beautiful walls.
