Dad Solo Hikes Tonsina Point in Seward, AK

I promised myself I would take every opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy some hiking that we don’t get to do at home.

I have to admit it wasn’t easy hopping out of bed at 7 am on a chili, drizzly, grey morning to lace up the boots for this hike. The tides on the beach necessitated an early start time as stretches of the trail are impassable at high tide.

I am happy to say that my determination to hike this morning was rewarded with a forested hike followed by a deep decent down to a beautiful river setting.
