Day 4- Spending the Day at Von Trapp Lodge

von Trapp Family Lodge

Today we hung around the von Trapp Family lodge. It was a rainy day so there was not much to do because this place relies on good weather for the outdoor activities. Mommy enjoyed a yoga class at 9. Daddy, Jonah, Lily, and I went to breakfast at the lodge. Then we went to the Outdoor Facility to rent bikes for Jonah and Daddy’s mountain biking trip.

Jonah:

Mountain biking was fun but rough, wet, and cold. It was raining the whole time. We also spent the whole time going up hill (or at least it felt like it). And I fell into the biggest puddle out there.

Julia:

While Jonah and Daddy were out mountain biking in the rainy weather Mommy, Lily, and I played some Chinese Checkers in the library and then ate lunch at the lodge. Lily did not eat but Mommy and I did. Mommy had a chicken curry sandwich, and I got a Caesar salad. Yum!

Jonah and Daddy returned earlier than expected soaking wet and cold.

At one Lily, Jonah, and I had a rock climbing class. We really just climbed. Not much learning.

We went back to the room to relax for a bit. Then Mommy and Daddy kicked us out and told us to go do something. So we did. We played hide-n-seek…in the hotel. We hid outside and inside all three floors, we hid in the stairs, in the elevators, and on balconies. It was fun.

Then we headed into town and walked around Stowe for a bit going in and out of shops. We had dinner at a pizza place called Pie-casso. Nice selection of pizza or make tour own. I had a Hawaiian pizza of course. Its my favorite. Lily and I shared it.

We returned to the lodge and played more hide and seek while Mommy and Daddy sat out side at a table with a von Trapp beer.

Today was a lovely day!!!
