Day 2 – Spring Break in Colorado

After six hours in the ER with Shane for a torn inner thigh muscle (no snowboarding for him this trip 😢), we were able to acquire four hours of sleep. Due to the time change, I thought Shane and I were able to manage quite well on such little sleep – obviously with the help of caffeine! ☕️

We packed into our vehicles and headed to Silverthorne. The hour and forty-five minute ride was filled with incredible scenery.

Mountains popped up on either side of us – snow capped and majestic. We even stopped at a viewing site along the way to see the big horn sheep on the mountainside and a still frozen Georgetown lake.

Our condo in Silverthorne is the bomb. Incredible views from every window or balcony.

The kids had a blast playing in the snow. ⛄️ Made some snowmen, climbed mountains of snow and had snowball fights. Not bad for a bunch of Florida babies.

We ended our day with a fresh batch of chili and a soak in the hot tub. The fresh mountain air and good friends makes life good.
